What: Creating Artist Books and Portfolios
When: Saturday March 13, 2021 at 11am PT (2pm ET). Duration between one and two hours, including Q&A.
Where: This is an online webinar via Zoom. Zoom authenticated registration and a tuition payment of $29.95 are required for enrollment. Seating is limited. Click here to register!
Details: Using Harold’s successful Kickstarter projects Botanique (an artist book), Monochromatic Visions (a portfolio of prints), along with the Kumano kodo project as case studies, this webinar explains and demystifies the process of creating artist books and portfolios. The discussion will start with the philosophic: what makes a good artist book or portfolio project? How are visual cohesion and a theme maintained?
Next, we’ll take a look at materials. This is a large topic by itself, and includes issues of printing and imposition, presentation, binding, suppliers, and more.
Finally, we’ll take a look at pricing and marketing opportunities for these very special one-off (or limited edition) creations.
There will be time for Q&A.
Who should attend: Anyone interested in creating professional-class portfolios or artist books of their work; those who enjoy having original portfolios presented by the artist; those would like the “inside scoop” about Harold’s online portfolios and artist books.
Number of Seats and Tuition: The tuition for this webinar is $29.95, but requires prior registration. Seating (on a first come, first served basis) is limited. You must register via Zoom to be enrolled in this webinar! Click here to register!
