Cry of the Heart, photo by Harold Davis.
I had a licensing request for images of bristlecone pines from the Methuselah Grove in California’s White Mountains. These trees are believed to be the world’s oldest living things. So in addition to the photos in my story written at the time of my desert roadtrip, I pulled these four images from my files.
These are essentially as shot in the camera, with very little post-processing, which seems kind of naive, cute, and quaint to me—although it certainly does save time.
From top to bottom: Cry of the Heart, Survivor, Reach the Sky, and Nameless.
