Following the individual presentations, Harold Davis will moderate a round-table discussion, and take questions from the webinar audience. All proceeds will benefit Project Coyote, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to promote compassionate conservation and coexistence between people and wildlife through education, science and advocacy.
About Guy Tal: Guy Tal is a photographic artist and author living and working primarily in the high desert region known as the Colorado Plateau. He is a regular contributor to magazines such as LensWork, On Landscape, and others. His books include More Than a Rock, and The Landscape Photographer’s Guide to Photoshop. Guy’s work is an extension of his experiences living and exploring in his beloved desert places. Although ostensibly a “landscape photographer,” Guy approaches photography as an expressive art meant to elicit emotions and to elevate the spirit, rather than to document appearances. Rather than a photographer who produces art, Guy considers himself an artist working in the medium of photography.
About Michael Gordon: Michael E. Gordon is an award-winning photographic artist best known for his black and white images from California’s deserts which, said Broughton Quarterly, portray “stunning ethereal beauty from terrain where others see only a bleak landscape.” A lifelong student of nature and wilderness adventurer, Michael’s intimate relationship with the natural world results in quiet images of depth and discovery. His relationship with—and photography of—California’s Deserts spans more than 30 years.
Michael’s work has been widely exhibited and is held internationally in the private collections of the United States Embassy, Kaiser Permanente; Milken Family Foundation; The Wilderness Society, and many others. His photographs have been widely published, including B+W Photography (UK); Medium Format magazine; SHOTS; On Landscape (UK); View Camera; Rangefinder; Broughton Quarterly; Arte Fotográfico, Backpacker; and more. His work has been awarded by the International Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie Paris, and Black & White Spider Awards.
Michael owns and operates Death Valley Photo Tours and co-founded Visionary Photography Workshops with Guy Tal. He lives in Southern California with his wife Shauna.
About Harold Davis: Harold Davis is a bestselling author of many books, most recently Creative Garden Photography from Rocky Nook. He is the developer of a unique technique for photographing flowers for transparency, a Moab Master, and a Zeiss Ambassador. He is an internationally known photographer and a sought-after workshop leader. His website is www.digitalfieldguide.com.
